Dog training using methods based on
science and how animals learn
People are taught to train dogs using gentle, fun and positive techniques all dogs love and understand. All training methods enhance the relationship between dogs and people and are built on trust and cooperation. There are no chain, choke, shock or prong collars used. No leash jerks or punishments are given.
Private Lessons
Private lessons offer the convenience of training in a home environment and provide dog owners with one-on-one attention and instruction. Topics covered for private lessons include; attention, play-biting, recalls, sit, stand, down, stay, house-training, loose-leash walking, heeling, leave it, take it, place and not jumping up on people. Private lessons are scheduled by appointment and individualized according to the needs of both owners and their dogs. A series of private lessons is available that covers the sequences taught in Basic Manners classes. Paying for a series is nonrefundable.

Dog Behavioral Consultations
Behavioral consultations provide dog owners with assistance for solving common problems, such as fearfulness, aggression, and anxiety, as well as play-biting, house-training, chewing, jumping, barking, and digging. Consultations help owners prevent and resolve problems successfully. Humane, effective methods and gentle approaches are used. Behavioral consultations are approximately 2.5 hours in length and are scheduled by appointment.
Cat Behavioral Consultations
Behavioral consultations provide cat owners with assistance for solving common problems, such as fearfulness, aggression, and anxiety, as well as scratching, play-biting, marking or spraying, and failure to use the litter box. Consultations help owners prevent and resolve problems successfully. Humane, effective methods and gentle approaches are used. Behavioral consultations are approximately 2 hours in length and are scheduled by appointment.
Phone Consultations
Consultations by phone are available for dog and cat owners when either time or travel is inconvenient for scheduling a personal one-on-one behavioral consultation or when there is no one available in their immediate area who can assist them. Phone consultations offer pet owners the opportunity to understand their dog's or cat's behaviors so that they can treat and address behavioral problems and training concerns humanely and successfully.
